|Hathor Doula was founded by Jasmine Cairo who is part of Aimée's fabulous backup team and the Vancouver Doula Collective. Jasmine has been passionate about birth since the homebirths of her own two sons.

|Little Miracles is the creation of Katy Thompson who is part of Aimée's fabulous backup team and the Vancouver Doula Collective. She is a birth and postpartum doula and a wicked breastfeeding counsellor (she's on her way to becoming a board-certified Lacation Consultant).|
|The Nesting Place was started by Amanda Spakowski, a Toronto Doula and Birthing From Within© Mentor whose insightful and caring nature is key to her practice.|
|The Doula Network has listings of Doulas in Canada and the United States. Doulas are responsible for listing themselves, so this list is not comprehensive, but many of the doulas give fairly in-depth information about their practices.|
|The Doula Services Association is a referral and information service for families in British Columbia who are seeking a doula. Again, not all doulas list with them, but they are fairly comprehnesive and a good source of info on what doulas do.|
|Penny Simkin is a birth maven and mentor of many, many doulas and their trainers. She also teaches childbirth classes in her hometown of Seattle. Paula Bock of Pacific Northwest magazine has written a really good article about Penny's life and work.|
|The Midwifery Group was the first midwifery clinic to open it’s doors in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1998.

|Ina May Gaskin is a world-renouned midwife from Tenessee. Author of Spiritual Midwifery and Ina May's Guide to Childbirth, as well as the creator of an obstetrical movement for shoulder dystocia, she is a wealth of evidence-based information about pregnancy and birth.|
|This wonderful video about the initiation of breastfeeding using nature's "breast crawl" reflex Shows a baby self-latching within ten minutes of being placed skin-to-skin between the mother's breasts. Video also gives information about how to achieve this for you and your own baby.|
|The Business of Being Born is a documentary about the economic and political pressures that influence birthing practices in the United States and also follows individual women on their journey to parenthood.
