The Doula Network has listings of Doulas in Canada and the United States. Doulas are responsible for listing themselves, so this list is not comprehensive, but many of the doulas give fairly in-depth information about their practices. |

The Doula Services Association is a referral and information service for families in British Columbia who are seeking a doula. Again, not all doulas list with them, but they are fairly comprehnesive and a good source of info on what doulas do. |

Penny Simkin is a birth maven and mentor of many, many doulas and their trainers. She also teaches childbirth classes in her hometown of Seattle. Paula Bock of Pacific Northwest magazine has written a really good article about Penny's life and work. |
