    • Birthing From Within © childbirth classes offer parents a unique environment to prepare themselves for labour and parenthood. Parents learn through discussion and creative activities that explore and validate their own knowledge while also receiving non-biased information about the wide range of options available to them for labour, birth and postpartum care.

    Included in the classes:

  • Understanding stages of labour

  • Learning pain coping practices

  • Preparing for postpartum and baby care

  • Creating a comfortable space at the hospital and/or at home

  • Coping with unexpected or unwanted events in labour

  • Special class for partners/support people

  • Coping with the transition to parenthood

  • Postpartum reunion

Birthing From Within© childbirth education classes accompany parents on a journey of learning more about their own selves and what to expect during pregnancy and childbirth. Birthing From Within© classes are suited to both hospital and home-birth plans.
