Join other parents as you prepare your mind, body and heart for the challenges of labour and parenthood. Birthing From Within © advocates an approach that is as unique as you are; there isn't one "right" way to birth and parent!

Intimate groups of six couples allow the classes to be responsive and personal. Birthing From Within © employs discussion and creative activities to explore and validate your strengths as you learn about the wide range of options available to you in labour, birth and the postpartum period.

Included in the classes:

• Understanding stages of labour


• Learning pain coping practices


• All about feeding your baby


• Preparing for postpartum and baby care


• Creating a comfortable space at the hospital and/or at home


• Coping with unexpected or unwanted events in labour


• Special class for partners/support people


• Coping with the transition to parenthood


• Postpartum reunion

Throughout the class emphasis is placed on getting you the information that you need and connecting you with your own preferences so that you can make the best decision for you and your family in all areas of pregnancy, childbirth and parenting.

Cost: $200 per couple
Fee includes all materials, including your manual and a loan of the Birthing From Within text from our library. New copies of Birthing From Within are also available for purchase for $25 (list cost is $30).

-Custom Private Series-
These classes are tailored to your specific needs and are usually held in your own home. If our class dates do not work with your schedule or you would prefer greater privacy for your prenatal classes, this is a good option for you.
