Coping in Labour
Commercial Drive, East Vancouver

Parents-to-be are invited to join Aimée to explore strategies for coping in labour. Whether you hope to have a medication-free experience, or are hoping to use medications to help you to manage labour (or fall somewhere in-between), it is helpful to have tools in your kit to help you through whatever path your birth will take.


We will cover:

• Massage - Learn techniques to help ease the sensations of contractions in early and active labour.
• Pain-coping - Discover your pain-coping style, and learn new techniques to have in reserve.
• Facing your fears - It's normal to have fears and worries going into labour. This exercise can guide you in identifing and "taming" one common fear of your choosing.
